Welcome to St. John's Nursery School

A hidden gem in the heart of West LA

We want kids to have a wonderful first school experience so they form a positive association with school for the rest of their lives.  We provide a safe and loving environment, where children develop a love for learning and school through play.

Our teachers craft a curriculum that supports

social-emotional development and child-centered learning.

We honor childhood, utilizing authentic, playful learning opportunities to encourage cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth. We see every child for the individual they are and develop curriculum around student interest.  

The children are exposed to a wide variety of activities, where they can be curious, explore, play, and engage in stimulating, hands-on experiences.  From early math and literacy to yoga and gardening, the kids learn while having fun.

We are a small school, with low student-to-teacher ratio.

Our 3 classes are grouped by age. There are 16 students per class with 2 lead teachers and an assistant teacher.
